This summer we signed the girls up for swim lessons again but we also let them pick one other activity to do. We gave them a long list of things to choose from. Ava chose dance and Macy chose karate. I wasn’t too sure about the karate thing but we went to a trial class and I was totally impressed and on board after that. She is learning taekwondo skills but most importantly she is also learning respect, discipline, focus, and assertiveness. And she LOVES it! Ava is doing tap and ballet and is having a great time with it. She walks around the house on her tip toes practicing her ballerina moves. It has been so great to have them doing separate things. Macy goes to karate 3 times per week so Ben takes her on Saturday which is fun for her to get to go somewhere with just daddy. And Ava and I had fun shopping for tap and ballet shoes just the two of us. The best part is that since they are in the class without the other one, the teachers never get confused and ALWAYS call them the right name! They never have to answer, “Are you Ava or Macy?” So great for them and helping them with their independence before we start kindergarten next month!!
Could they be any more different???
