11 months

I made it the whole first year without missing one of Aubrey's monthly posts... until now. She turned 1 earlier this week and I never did her 11 month post. But better late than never is pretty much my personal motto so here are some pics from her 11th month. I will do a whole post on her 1st birthday soon. And I need to blog about Thanksgiving. And the girls 6th birthday. And our trip to Disney World. And Christmas. Oh my. December wears me out.  I do not recommend having 3 children with birthdays in the same month.... especially when that month is December. It's crazy around here these days!

Decorating the tree.

The Wyatt girls. Thanksgiving at Aunt Em and Uncle Jon's house.

We brought this car seat of my mom's back from Arkansas so that Aubrey's babysitter could have it in her car. Aubrey was a little fussy on the drive back so we decided to switch out her seat so that she could ride facing forward. It made her so happy!

This has nothing to do with Aubrey but I mean.... seriously. This is the kind of stuff that happens around here on a daily basis. Green Lantern and Purple Lantern.

She is wearing the 11 month sticker and holding the 9 month sticker. This is the best one I got but to be honest I didn't try very hard. (See above comment about birthdays, Christmas, and a family vacation to Disney World.)

10 months

Since Aubrey will be 11 months tomorrow, I decided I better hurry up and do her 10 month post tonight! Our sweet girl is really showing her personality more and more. She is still really easy going which is FABULOUS when you have two others that are not so easy going. She is waving bye bye, blowing kisses, and giving high fives. She babbles a lot and says "mama," "da," and "bye bye."  Her most consistent word that she says with meaning is "Da" for daddy. She says "mama" too but I feel like she says it all the time and not only when she wants me. But "da" is definitely her word for Ben. A couple of weeks ago he was outside grilling and she was sitting in the kitchen with me. She could see him through the kitchen window so she was looking at him and yelling, "Da! Da! DAAAA!!!!" He couldn't hear her because he was outside so she just kept yelling louder and louder. It was pretty funny. For a while, Ben was the only person that she would wave to. We would all take turns waving to her and she would just stare at us but as soon as Ben waved, she would wave right back to him. Every time. It never failed. Finally, just in the last couple of weeks, she has started waving at everyone else though. And just in the last couple of days she has started saying, "bye bye" when she waves.

She is still a good eater.  She prefers to eat vegetables as baby food instead of picking up real peas, carrots, corn, etc. However, she did eat broccoli for the first time last night. And she liked it!

Fun times at the park.

Always a trooper at sisters' soccer games. Even when it is freezing.

She LOVES to play with spoons. If I am trying to cook dinner or get something done, I just throw a bunch of spoons on the floor and she will happily play forever.

She always wants to be where her older sisters are. Even when they are taking a bath, she wants to be right there watching their every move.

Lately I have noticed that she will pick up the remote and point it toward the TV and today I looked over and she was brushing her hair with Ava and Macy's brush. It is crazy to me that she is old enough to know what to do with objects that she finds around the house. She has seen us using these things so now she tries to use them the same way we do.

She's not walking yet. She is cruising around while holding on to the furniture and will let go and stand for a second or two but then she always plops down and crawls where she wants to go.

She celebrated her first Halloween as a black cat. She hates anything on her head (which is driving me crazy!) so I couldn't get her to wear cat ears but her outfit was really cute. We had a super busy Halloween afternoon/evening and I wish I would have taken the time to get some better pictures of her. After school, I rushed around to get all 3 girls ready so we could go to a neighbor's house before trick or treating. Right before we were about to leave, Aubrey grabbed a HUGE bottle of opened mouthwash and dumped it all over her legs (and the bathroom floor). So I had to rinse her leggings and tutu in the sink and throw it in the dryer before we left. In all that chaos, I just didn't get many pictures. But at least Aubrey was smelling minty fresh all night. : )

Here are some pics from Ava and Macy on Halloween.

Ava was a witch and Macy was the Tooth Fairy. Just fyi... you can't buy a tooth fairy costume at Target.  I spent 2 LONG hours cutting these teeth out of felt and gluing them on these fairy wings. Might not seem like a lot for some of you crafty, pinterest worthy moms but for me this was a big deal!

I also made a little bag for the tooth fairy's collection of teeth and a wand. You can see where these ended up... in the back of the stroller less than 2 minutes after we started trick or treating.

Once again, I failed at the cute onesie with the number photo shoot. I thought it would be a good idea to put her in this cute pumpkin outfit and put the "10 months" sticker in a picture frame. But she just played with the frame so I didn't really get any cute ones.

Oh well! Happy 10 months Aubrey!

Macy Claire

Macy is the star student in her class this week. Her teacher sent home a poster for us to decorate and fill in all of her favorite things. We needed some pictures of just Macy for the poster so I started going through all of my pictures to see what I could find. Here is what I found. It pretty much sums up our little Macy Claire.....

This one wouldn't be so bad except here is what Ava was doing at that exact same moment:

Apparently she has always been into funny faces.

Eating a jalapeno. Because it's normal for a 5 year old to like jalapenos.

And finally..... a glimpse into what the camera roll on my phone looks like. 1,000,000 Macy selfies:

Oh how dull our lives would be without this goofy little girl!

I actually did find a few decent pictures of her. Here is her finished Star Student poster:

She did all of the coloring and writing by herself. We helped her spell words and I cut out the pictures and wrote her name with a glitter pen. She did the rest!

You may not be able to read it but her favorite food is "vegetables." Again, totally normal for a 5 year old, right???

Someday I would like to be "a pilot"

She has to tell her class about the poster tomorrow so here she is practicing before bedtime.

And because Ava can't handle that Macy is star student and she isn't, she made her own "starring me" poster. It says "You R the Star Stoodt" and lists all of her favorite things. : ) Apparently Macy's teacher draws out of a hat every Friday and Ava's teacher goes alphabetically. It's no fun being a W!!

A few things....

A few things that we have been up to lately....

An adult only trip to Napa Valley. Ben went to his annual conference in San Francisco. I met him out there on Thursday night and we spent Friday and Saturday in Napa Valley and Sonoma. We spent a little time in San Francisco on Sunday and I flew back late that evening. Ben's parents came and took care of all 3 munchkins. (Which is not an easy job!!) We had a wonderful time. We were able to relax and enjoy some delicious wine and food and actually spend some time with each other.

Soccer. This is the girls 3rd season to play soccer and it has finally clicked for them! Not to get all braggy mom but they are doing SO good this year. They are kind of the best ones on the team. : ) There have been some games where the two of them score all of the points for our team.  It is fun to see them working together on the field. They will look for each other and pass it to each other. We are so proud! I guess I have been so busy cheering them on that I haven't taken any pictures. This is all I could find on my phone. They have two games left in the season so I will be sure to take some more.

future soccer player???

Kindergarten Fun. There is SO much that goes on in kindergarten! I couldn't possibly begin to blog about all of the things they have done in kindergarten in the last couple of months. I am going to attempt to hit the highlights (or the things I have pictures of).

The first week of school they learned about scientists. Then this happened:

Conducting the experiment. Mixing dirt and hand sanitizer and stirring it with popsicle sticks.

Hat Day

Dress like what you want to be when you grow up day. I could not pull together a flight attendant uniform for Ava so I talked her into a doctor.

The Fun Run for their school fundraiser. This is Macy and her friend Kaitlynn.

Field trip to the Pumpkin Farm. I took off work to go with them and was so glad that I did.
 Obsessed with animals!

I was in charge of these 3 cuties. Ava, Macy, and Aubree. : )

Hayride

picnic lunch

These are all kids from Ava's class (plus Macy). Macy joined with Ava's class for the day so that I could be with both girls during the field trip.

Ava strangling... I mean hugging... a goat.

Fun times in kindergarten!  They are loving it and really doing well. I think we have finally all adjusted to the craziness of "real" school. I was shocked at how fast paced everything felt and all of the extra things that go along with school. And I work for the district!!! I have no idea why this was so shocking to me! I have realized that they hit you really hard in the beginning with fundraisers and PTA and volunteer opportunities and a million (slight exaggeration) different "dress up" days. That may not sound like a lot but it totally overwhelmed me plus the girls had a bit of a rough time adjusting to the demands of school. They have been perfect at school but we had a rough time at home in the beginning. They were EXHAUSTED when they got home and we had some major fit throwing and just down right BAD behavior. But... knock on wood... they have been really good lately so I think they have adjusted and are handling it really well now. It is amazing to me how much they have learned in just a couple of months. Their reading and writing is improving so much already. Can't wait to see what they are doing by the end of the year!
